Food for Thought : August is Breastfeeding Awareness Month

August is National Breastfeeding Awareness Month. The breastfeeding campaign, funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, hopes to empower women to commit to breastfeeding by highlighting new research showing that babies who are exclusively breastfed for six months are less likely to develop ear infections, diarrhea and respiratory illnesses, and may be less likely to develop childhood obesity.

In celebration of Breastfeeding Awareness Month, we've compiled the following guide to serve as your one-stop resource for the information and support you'll need to be successful at breastfeeding. Arm yourself with information now, and you'll thank yourself later for giving your baby the best possible start in life.

Words of Wisdom :

Never cut a tree down in the wintertime. Never make a negative decision in the low time. Never make your most important decisions when you are in your worst moods. Wait. Be patient. The storm will pass. The spring will come.

Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen... yourself, right now, right down here on Earth.

Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better take things as they come along with patience and equanimity.

I have seen many storms in my life. Most storms have caught me by surprise, so I had to learn very quickly to look further and understand that I am not capable of controlling the weather, to exercise the art of patience and to respect the fury of nature.

When I was 20, I thought I was 30 - but I was so far from it. When you're young, you want everything to happen now. As you mature, you can look back and see all the great things you achieved with time and patience.

That is one bad ass baby , he seem to be watching his dad , saying , back off boy , these are mine for the next year or so . He was his mama's little man and still is , All 4 of those kids are like their mama and daddy.
This post hits home and if mother would breast feed their babies , they would be more healthy . If the mother have to work , she can use a breast pump . Babies need all the nutrients they can get .

Your quotes this week is about patience , I want to borrow the book , a certain person here could use a little more patience, calling no names .
    Good job G.
