  4. Our family just really loves Canadian indigenous art. It's very under appreciated and we love being surrounded by it. We have 2 small children who we teach about the art and history and we share our art with our local community so that people know the history of our indigenous peoples. This piece you have is was done during a period of time that he was struggling with addiction and you can see the pain he was feeling in the piece. As someone who has also struggled it speaks to me. You may not be interested in selling it at all but if you do and if you'd like it to go to a good home you can contact me.

  5. When you mentioned his addiction in connection with the piece, I immediately saw what you saw... the struggle, the pain and the feeling of being consumed by those flames. The painting is a cry. Thank you for the enlightenment. If I sell it, it would be to someone who would cherish it as I have for over 35 years. I will give it some thought.
Best wishes for the new Year.

  9. Hahaha! Thank you. I'm well and I hope you are staying safe. I admire your persistence. My partner and I abandoned this blog a year ago. I come back once in a while to look up recipes. I won't sell right now but in about a year, I will have to start sizing down. Ask me then....Good luck Canuck
