They are a lot of fun and they keep us when our mama and daddy and uncle Gil and aunt Nee go out . Aunt Mae say we take care of them . Jerry found a small diamond , daddy told him to put it on a chain , Jerry jumped up and down like he do when he catch a fish jerry is so funny . Aunt Jeannie it is raining here a little but we are not going home , Daddy say we are still on break . Sha said to tell you about the fight and it was so funny . It is a lot of kids here they are nice and we play with them . It is a man that comes out when he do not see a grown up around . the man ask one boy what he found he said nothing the man say you lie and got the boy arm , 3 boys told the man to turn him loose , the boy was about Jonny and Chris size , the man said i will kick your bad word , the 3 big boys jump the man and all of the kids jump on him to , poppa and uncle Harvey run to us and saying stop . Poppa grab Chris and Jonny and said get back here come your daddys . more daddys was running and we saw mama and Aunt Anita and everyone , mr. Mac said who hit our kids , poppa said no one Daddy said stop you kids before you hurt the man . the man got up and said he was going to call the police , daddy asked what did they do one big boy said the man was taking a bag from a boy and hit the boy , so we want him to know how it feel to be hit . Uncle Chris said it that true the man told uncle Chris it was not his bad word busness , Poppa said sir you are so right it is none of his busness , so you better get a head start running because I am going to turn these kids loose on you. the man say who are you and poppa say I am the babysitter you did not see me and Harvey sitting over there . Poppa said now run and poppa said get him kids , that man could run poppa told the kids to let him be he will not be back . poppa is so funny daddy ask poppa if the kids got the man what would happen poppa said the man would just get a good beating and laughed .Poppa said he was watching that man everyday .Daddy said what was you 7 doing ,poppa said they was watching , daddy and uncle Chris said yes right . Dear Jonny, Keep saving the little diamonds. You could have them made into a pretty piece of jewellry for Mama or your sisters some day. You don't have to have a girlfriend if you don't want one right now. Just be a kid and have fun. Mama is so funny. I would like to see her with that hose washing all of you down. She doesn't want you carrying all that dirt in the cabin. Mama told me a man found a big diamond last year in the fields. I think she said it was five karats. That is one big mamajama diamond. Dear Sha, I just bet you are having fun looking for treasure. I know I would have loved that place when I was a kid. I collected all kinds of fossils and minerals. Nana hated having my rocks all over the house. Isn't it great that you met some nice kids. Poppa is right..You are supposed to play and enjoy yourself. Don't grow up too quickly. Poppa is so funny and he enjoys teasing mama. It is very good for Aunt Mae and Aunt Susan to walk and get stronger even if it takes forever....Hahaha! I guess they might be going too slow if they leave right after breakfast and don't get to the fields until dinner time. Aunt Mae might try to get her stick up someone's butt but I think most people would be too fast for her to catch. I bet she could trip them though.
That was a funny story about the man telling all you dirty children to leave his store. He really thought you were by yourselves and had no money. Maybe he thought you were going to steal the food. My goodness, you have some funny adventures. My eyes are much better Pretty Girl and thankyou for asking.They do get a bit better every day. We do have lots of snow and it is very cold today. I think we will have more snow this weekend. It is hard to believe that this is the third day of spring. I think it will all melt away around the end of April. We have little flowers called snowdrops that pop up out of the ground while there is still lots of snow.It starts to happen around the first or second day of spring. I saw some yesterday and it made me happy because I know that warm weather is coming soon. Rainy days can be fun too with books and videos and games and I bet today will be sunny and nice for you.

Dear Chris, A treasure hunt is always exciting even if you don't find the treasure. I always loved hunting for fossils when we went to the camp at lake Huron when I was a kid. I think I had the biggest fossil collection a kid ever owned. I wish I still had it. But you never know Chris...there could be a diamond under the next rock you turn over. You will never know unless you look. It is great when you meet nice kids on holiday, lots of fun. Even girls can be fun when they are not trying to kiss you. The men sure were teasing you about it. You are still too young to be interested in stuff like that. It's much more fun to look for diamonds or be a Junior NASA Scientist. Do you believe Poppa and Uncle Harvey would run away from girls? Hahahaha! Going to Hot Springs will be interesting. Maybe you can get someone to explain where all that hot water comes from. There are lots of minerals in the water and it is supposed to be good for you and your aches and pains. You still have some holiday time left so a trip to the hotel playroom would be perfect when you get home and then you have Easter and I know Aunt Nee has something super planned for that. Dear Sherlyn, A rainy day can be a lot of fun too and it sounds like you enjoyed it. A good book to read or a funny movie to watch makes a nice change from digging in the dirt. But I have to admit that when I was a kid I liked digging and getting dirty a lot more. I'm not sure I would want Aunt Nee to hose me down. Was it really cold water?? I hope you find a diamond before you leave honey, but even if you don't, you had lots of fun anyway.

Dear Jenny Isn't it great that there are no chores? Holidays are great and I like it when there are no dishes to wash. I am glad you are finding diamonds even if they are little ones.I didn't have a wish box but I had a treasure box where I put all my special things and I kept it hidden. Man and Bubba are happy with their rocks. I think they just like to dig and get dirty so they can get hosed down. It is so funny that Poppa and Uncle Harvey hide their bottle in a paper bag. It is very good for Aunt Mae and Aunt Susan to walk and get stronger even if it takes forever....Hahaha! I guess they might be going too slow if they leave right after breakfast and don't get to the fields until dinner time.
Aunt Mae might try to get her stick up someone's butt but I think most people would be too fast for her to catch. I bet she could trip them though.
That was a funny story about the man telling all you dirty children to leave his store. He really thought you were by yourselves and had no money. Maybe he thought you were going to steal the food. My goodness, you have some funny adventures.
My eyes are much better Pretty Girl and thankyou for asking.They do get a bit better every day.
We do have lots of snow and it is very cold today. I think we will have more snow this weekend. It is hard to believe that this is the third day of spring. I think it will all melt away around the end of April. We have little flowers called snowdrops that pop up out of the ground while there is still lots of snow.It starts to happen around the first or second day of spring. I saw some yesterday and it made me happy because I know that warm weather is coming soon.
Rainy days can be fun too with books and videos and games and I bet today will be sunny and nice for you.

ReplyDeleteA treasure hunt is always exciting even if you don't find the treasure. I always loved hunting for fossils when we went to the camp at lake Huron when I was a kid. I think I had the biggest fossil collection a kid ever owned. I wish I still had it.
But you never know Chris...there could be a diamond under the next rock you turn over. You will never know unless you look.
It is great when you meet nice kids on holiday, lots of fun. Even girls can be fun when they are not trying to kiss you. The men sure were teasing you about it. You are still too young to be interested in stuff like that. It's much more fun to look for diamonds or be a Junior NASA Scientist.
Do you believe Poppa and Uncle Harvey would run away from girls? Hahahaha!
Going to Hot Springs will be interesting. Maybe you can get someone to explain where all that hot water comes from. There are lots of minerals in the water and it is supposed to be good for you
and your aches and pains. You still have some holiday time left so a trip to the hotel playroom would be perfect when you get home and then you have Easter and I know Aunt Nee has something super planned for that. What an awesome holiday!

But I have to admit that when I was a kid I liked digging and getting dirty a lot more. I'm not sure I would want Aunt Nee to hose me down. Was it really cold water??

Those ribs sound good. I feel hungry right now. Did you have lunch at the shack today? I bet everyone is eating a lot. You usually do when you are on vacation and out in the fresh air.

You are going to really have fun on Easter. There may be a few surprises this year. But I am sure Poppa, Uncle Harvey, Man and Bubba will still sit under the tree and eat eggs. I think you really do take care of them when the grownups go out...Hahaha!

I am glad you are finding diamonds even if they are little ones.I didn't have a wish box but I had a treasure box where I put all my special things and I kept it hidden.

That was a very mean man and I am glad he was taught a lesson. He should not bully children. He wasn't expecting children to jump him and give him a beating. I bet he was very surprised. Maybe he won't do it again. I hope not. Poppa sure scared him off. I think Poppa kept an eye on that man because he didn't trust him and knew he might do something nasty.
Well Im pretty sure the fight didn't spoil your holiday... You guys thought it was very funny. It has been such a excellent holiday and it's not over yet. You will be going to Hot Springs.
