Aunt Jeannie ,the Happy New year posts are so pretty , we thank you so very much .We hope this is a better year for you and your family and all your wishes come true , the important ones we hope really come true .
ReplyDeleteAunt Jeannie , we went to church today and uncle Harold preach a great sermon about love happiness and peace . None of us went to sleep , uncle Harold is aunt Emily husband .
Poppa said uncle Harold was talking loud and jumping up and down like a black preacher . Poppa is so funny , mama told poppa uncle Harold had the spirit , aunt Jeannie poppa told mama the only spirit uncle Harold had was in the bottle they had last night .
The singing was really good , Man and Bubba and RJ did not go to sleep , daddy said they was scared the church may fall down while they sleep . Black people come to the church and we like to see them get happy and shout , they are so funny jumping up and down . Poppa said maybe he and uncle Harvey should be ushers , daddy said no you are not , daddy told poppa they wanted to pinch the ladies .
Aunt Jeannie we said a prayer for you and put you on the pray list at church .
Aunt Jeannie hope all your family have a great New Year and Sammy and Jakey have the best year ever . They are really cute , Sammy and Jakey mama is cute .

ReplyDeleteIt's nice to hear from you. I have a feeling this will be a very good year for everyone. The world is in sad shape with wars and killing and toxic environment. So, when things are that bad...they have to get better.
That's my opinion and I am sticking to it. Things will get better for my family too and your prayers and hopes for us will go a long way to help that happen. I thank all my cubs so much for caring about us.
It sounds to me like Uncle Harold loves his job and the Christmas season is the best time of year to get his message across to people because they are in a loving and spiritual state of mind.
Hahaha! Jumping up and down just means he is very enthusiastic about what he is doing. That's a good thing, especially if it kept Poppa awake. Maybe that bottle of spirits helped a bit.
Little kids usually get restless and fidget all over the place or fall asleep in church because they don't get what it's all about and they get bored. Sounds like Uncle Harold was doing a really good job if the two younger boys were paying attention.
Poppa and Uncle Harvey would make very good ushers. They have good manners and they would only steal a pinch or two when no one was looking.
Do you love hymns and Christmas carols? I think we all do. They are beautiful and have so much feeling in them. That must be why we have kept them around for hundreds of years.
Sam and Jakey are doing very well and they are both handsome and very kind and caring. The girls are always after both of them. And you will never guess what! Jake is taking a basic law course in high school and he has such a talent for it, he is considering becoming a lawyer. He is enjoying it very much. Geez Louise we'll have lawyers coming out of our ears. Sammy has changed his ambitions. He now wants to build and race cars like his dad and fly airplanes. I guess that sounds pretty exciting to a teenager. We don't care what they do as long as it makes them happy. You have to love what you are doing or you will never be quite satisfied or content. Their mama is cute as a bug and very sweet. She used to be a bad cook and her muffins could be used as hockey pucks. But she tried and tried until she got good at cooking. We never thought that could happen even though I bought her at least two dozen cook books. She made some good stuff at Christmas and we didn't have to sneak it to the dogs under the table.
My love to all my wonderful cubs. Every one of you is a very special person. And I know you will be fantastic grownups. Have an awesome year.
